The front edge shall be post form laminate or 3mm PVC
when specified. The remaining edges shall be square
and banded with thin PVC. The work surface shall have
one grommet for work surfaces up to 48” long and
two grommets for work surfaces greater than 48”.
On single-face units, the work surface shall be mounted
flush with the leg assembly at the back and sides and
flush with the ends on double-face units. The work surface
shall be secured by means of 12-gauge clips and 1/4-20
bolts screwed into threaded inserts embedded in the
work surface. Laminate choices/options include standard
colors from “Wilson Art”, also available
from other laminate manufacturers. Additional “premium”

butt-jointed and welded flush on double-faced assemblies.
The welds shall be full fillets with all outside welds
ground flush. The vertical rails shall have 2”x3”
pass-through holes and tapped holes for attachment
of raceways on the inside surfaces. The top and bottom
rails shall have tapped holes for work surface and
accessory attachment and shall be fitted with end
caps. The inside rails of the trestle shall be tapped
for an optional end panel. The bottom rail shall be
fitted with adjustable glides.
INTERMEDIATE LEG ASSEMBLY:
The leg assembly shall be a “C”
or “I” shape, constructed of 11-gauge
tubular steel and powder coated. The top and bottom
rails shall be 2”x3” and the vertical
leg rail shall be 2”x4”. The rails shall
be mitered at the joint and welded at the corners
on single-faced assemblies and butt-joined and welded
flush at joints on double-faced assemblies. The welds
shall be full fillets. The leg rail shall have 2”x3”
pass-through holes and tapped for attachment of raceways
on both surfaces. The top and bottom rails shall have
tapped holes for work surface and accessory attachment
and shall be fitted with end caps. The bottom rail
shall be fitted with adjustable glides.
CORNER LEG POST: When
specified, the leg post shall be constructed of 11-gauge
2”x2” tubular steel. The leg shall be
screwed to the work surface with 12-gauge clips and
1/4-20 bolts screwed into threaded inserts embedded
in the work surface.
POWER/DATA RACEWAY:
The power/data raceway shall be 4”
deep x12” high constructed of 18-gauge steel
and powder-coated. The raceway shall have a drop-down,
removable access door secured by a thumb latch. The
raceway shall be capable of being positioned to permit
field placement of the access door toward the front
or back. The raceway shall be attached to the leg
assemblies with 1/4-20 bolts.
SLOTTED END PANEL:
When specified, the panels shall be made
of 18-gauge steel. Color as specified.
ADJUSTABLE CPU HOLDER:
When specified, the adjustable CPU holder
shall be steel with adjustable width (5”to 91/2”)
and height (15”to 21”). Finish is smooth
black. Verify leg & knee space before ordering.
Unit includes mounting hardware and foam pads.
CPU HOLDER RACK: The
rack CPU holder mounts underneath the work surface
at either a right or left side position. The rack
CPU holder is expandable and can hold a CPU 61/2”
to 10” wide x 18”x21”. The rack
unit is slotted on both sides for air ventilation.
REINFORCEMENT KEELS:
60” or 72” nominal length keels
are “W” shaped channels made of 14-gauge
steel. 60” keels are 31/2” wide x 571/2”
long. 72” keels are 31/2” wide x 691/2”
long. They attach to the underside of the work surface
using wood screws. The purpose of the keel is to prevent
the work surface from bowing. RK60s are recommended
for use on 60” and 66” wide work surfaces.
RK72s are recommended for use on 72” wide work
surfaces.
